This imposing building, which houses the School of Medicine of the University of the Republic, is characterized by the symmetry of its design. The entry is through a large central hall, which leads to classrooms, laboratories and a richly ornamented auditorium.
AGUADA. Avenida General Flores 2125 between Yatay and Isidoro de María
It is the work of architect Jacobo Vázquez Varela, who based his design on the School of Medicine of Paris. It was built in 1904- 1910.
