This building is located on an exceptional site on the rambla of Montevideo; it was originally a nightclub and then became a museum. Its unique architecture and décor have a distinctly Moorish air. It features an open patio with a checkered floor, arched galleries and a tower that is well-established as one of the city’s landmarks.

The building, in a pseudo-Moorish style, was designed by architect José Mazzarra and dates back to 1929.
